Allie grew up in snowy but wonderful Buffalo, NY, and graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore. During her college years, she participated in her first indoor cycling class and was instantly hooked. Allie moved to Boston two and a half years ago when her husband was accepted to a PhD program at Northeastern University. She took her first class at The Handle Bar when the studio opened in Southie and has been chasing the beat ever since. Drawing on her roots as a competitive Irish dancer (yes, she used to do her hair like that), she enjoys riding to the rhythm of music and uses that energy to provide her classes with a ride full of variety and fun!
Allie is a Mad Dogg certified spinning instructor and a graduate of the Handle Bar Training Program. In her class, she focuses on challenging her riders to try something new and wants them to leave with a sense of accomplishment and a smile. While not in spandex, Allie is an Account Executive at a security software organization in downtown Boston.
tell us one surprising fact about yourself.
Every summer, I convince myself that the Buffalo Bills will win the Super Bowl. 2016 is our year!
what’s your favorite movie?
Annie Hall. My husband proposed to me while we were watching it at the Coolidge Corner theater and I have so many great memories from the countless times I’ve watched it before. I also want to be Diane Keaton when I grow up.
who's your hero and why?
My Mom. She’s a successful CPA, a caring mother to her three children, and my best friend. She’s got it all and looks good doing it! She also laughs at all of my jokes, which is key.
