Born and raised on Cape Cod, Channing grew up dancing from a young age. After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts for Dance at UMass Amherst, she moved to Boston and joined the corporate world. Missing dance and her love for movement, she realized she needed a creative outlet outside of the office. With a passion for fitness and wellness, soon after, she found a love for cycling and the rest is history. An instructor since 2015, Channing’s classes are full of choreography, remixes, and challenging tracks that will leave you sweaty, reinvigorated, and confident.
When she isn’t teaching spin, you can also find her instructing barre class on West Broadway in Southie, or further down the street with a margarita in hand at her favorite neighborhood watering hole, Loco!
During the warmer months, she can also be spotted at M Street Beach with her friends or tracking down the next puppy she can cuddle.
What is your spirit animal and why?
Not really an animal but a mermaid for sure! I think my hair says it all, and the fact that I grew up by the beach.
If you could meet one person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Justin Timberlake! I have been in love with him since I was little and I just think he is an amazing performer. Dancing, singing, acting – plus he’s so funny and cute! I would love to just hang out with him, pick his brain, dance with him and make him sing to me. What’s not to love about that?
Why do you ride?
I ride to escape. To escape any worries, stress, problems I have. When I step into the bike room all of that falls away and I get to be present in the moment.
