News & Updates

As we continue to pivot and adapt based on our current reality, we will share any and all relevant announcements pertaining to studio openings, satellite locations, and the like. Check back here when you need to know new information on our most up-to-date whereabouts!

Updated 5/24/2021

We are officially REOPENED at all 4 of our brick-and-mortar locations! Find us in South Boston, Fenway, Harvard Square and North Station!

Beginning May 29th, all vaccinated riders and instructors will no longer be required to wear a mask during our classes.

For our collective comfort, as we ease into this new world, we are still asking that all patrons don masks in the common areas before and after class. In accordance with national and local mandates, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination as a part of our operations. We trust our community.

While the state regulations allow for us to fill our rooms to 100 percent capacity, we’re going to add bikes in phases, based on demand. We will bring our bikes closer together slowly, over the course of the summer.

HB Fam, we could not have made it here without you. We welcome you to bring your full self to your bike, give your emotions space to run through you. We’re committed to you – physically, mentally, and spiritually.

We cannot wait to see you back inside our studio walls! Book your classes here!

We are thrilled to welcome back a familiar, pre-COVID pricing model. You have been incredibly supportive during this time and we cannot thank you enough. You can view our updated pricing on our buy page, as well as some additions that we’ll shed light on here, including Tandem Booking and new Membership Options.

Tandem Booking: 2 for $34. For the friend who is READY with the plan – buy two classes at a steep discount and book a class for you and a friend! We’ve put together Tandem Booking so you can crush your workouts with your accountability partner.

        • These two credits must be booked together in the same class.
        • Use it fast! You can book any class in our 7-day window, but you must book your reservation within 24 hours of purchasing!

12 Rides/Month + Unlimited Virtual: Does this package suit your routine? For those who are looking for the hybrid, here’s what to do:

          1. Add the 12 rides/month membership to your cart.
          2. Add the unlimited virtual membership to your cart.
          3. A discount will be automatically applied, and your virtual package will be discounted to $0.

Effective immediately, 1% of every HB purchase will be donated to our quarterly nonprofit partner. We’ve chosen partners whose work we greatly admire, and whose missions align closely with ours. Their efforts align with mental health research, aid and awareness, or addressing the social injustices present in our society and working to create equity for our local communities.  This quarter’s nonprofit partner is BIG SISTER BOSTON.

Big Sister Boston’s mission is to ignite girls’ passion and power to succeed through positive mentoring relationships with women and enrichment programs that support girls’ healthy development. Ultimately, their vision is to create a mentor-rich community in which every girl has access to the individual nurturing, guidance, and support she needs to become a confident, competent and caring adult.

Stay tuned in the coming month for more on this organization.

During this difficult year, your support has been unwavering, and we cannot thank you enough for that. Please continue to support small businesses all the ways you can. Stay tuned here, as well as on our Instagram and newsletter, for the most updated information on what’s to come. 🙂

Safety Measures

Hand Hygiene: Hand sanitizing stations will be readily accessible once inside the location. All staff and clientele are required to sanitize their hands upon arrival.

Temperature Checks: Staff will complete contactless temperature checks prior to each shift, and will issue temperature checks to all riders as they arrive at the check-in desk. Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will not be allowed to physically return to the space until cleared by a medical provider.

Health Declaration Form: After hand sanitizing and temperature checks, riders are then required to sign The Handle Bar’s Health Declaration Form, a document that states they have not experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 nor have they knowingly been exposed to the virus. The form also acts as another method of contact tracing for our community. All riders are required to sign this form if they wish to ride at any of our locations.

Social Distancing: Anyone entering the space must keep six feet of distance between them and other guests. Markers and signage will be present at the offsite locations for guidance.

In the bike area, bike layouts have been adjusted to ensure at minimum 6 feet of distance between masked riders.

Wear a Mask: Anyone entering a Handle Bar-operated location must wear a face covering & keep the face covering on at all times while on the premises, including during class.

Cleaning Protocols

Medical Grade Supplies: Bike equipment & all surfaces in every communal space will be thoroughly and frequently sanitized by staff using a EPA-Registered disinfectant.

Equipment Cleaning: EPA-registered disinfectant wipes will be available for riders, and they will be invited (but not required) to wipe down their own equipment and bikes before and after use. Our team then administers a thorough disinfecting and cleaning of the equipment upon riders’ exit from the space.

All of our brick and mortar locations have been thoroughly inspected and serviced by independent HV/AC specialists, with an even more extensive service completed prior to reopening.

Rider Commitment

While we have instilled many new guidelines and regulations to uphold the safety of all, the best way to ensure we can move forward is for all of us to do our part to practice safe and healthy habits.

    • Wash your hands, and wash them often, for at least 20 seconds.
    • If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to a class until you are symptom free, fever free, and/or have received a negative COVID test result.
    • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to a class for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.
    • If you feel ill or have any concerns about coming in to ride, please stay home and stay safe. If you need to cancel your reservation but have missed the early cancellation window, please contact us and we can assist you:
We are continually monitoring the situation across the country and will continue to put your health and safety first.

In the event that there is a reported case of COVID-19 from our space and you were potentially in contact with the individual, you will be notified immediately by our team. From there, we will take the proper safety precautions to thoroughly disinfect our offsite space from top to bottom.

We will continue to adapt, evolve and respond as needed, always with the health and safety of our staff and community at the front of our mind.

We’re here for you however you choose to ride, in person or virtually. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach us:
