FLOW FOR RECOVERY

Fighting Addiction and Celebrating Recovery
Recovery Month is held every September to combat stigma, and to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorder to live a healthy and rewarding life.

Join us on Tuesday, September 26th at 6pm on the lawn at 401 Park. We’re flowing alongside live music and celebrating our ability to choose health and wellness – while supporting our neighbors and family to do the same.

Addiction and mental illness do not discriminate, and this class is intended to open our arms and hearts to individuals battling addiction and those healthfully in recovery. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will benefit our non-profit partners, Casa Esperanza and Namastay Sober.

Participants are asked to bring their own mat or blanket to take part in this grounding and restorative twilight class.

About our partners:
For more than 30 years Casa Esperanza has been a beacon of hope to the Latine community in Massachusetts, providing addiction and mental health services. Committed to health equity, Casa Esperanza provides a bilingual continuum of care and empowers patients to be the architect of their own recovery.

Namastay Sober’s mission is to aid those in recovery by reconnecting their bodies and minds through affordable yoga, fitness, meditation and wellness-focused community events. By becoming a member of the Namastay Sober community, participants are given access to create a new and healthy lifestyle alongside peers.

Members of Namastay Sober and Casa Esperanza communities who are brand new to The Handle Bar, are invited to join this event for free, using this link.
