Hanna Hunstad

Hanna was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. From her first swim lesson, it was tough to keep her away from the pool – joining the swim team at the earliest age allowed. Her love of the water did not dwindle with age and the sport brought her to Boston College where she was the captain of the swim team her senior year in 2017. Competitive swimming taught her that real commitment and drive turn goals into reality. After graduating, Hanna felt the fitness world was her oyster and her eyes were opened after her first Handle Bar class. The “workout” was something she’d never experienced and just like the first dip in the pool, she was hooked.

Hanna balances pure grit, fun, and emotion into each ride – aiming to empower the strongest, most confident version of her riders. Outside of the bike room, Hanna works as a senior analyst at the TJX companies and can often be found with a black iced coffee in hand. Keeping her inner athlete entertained, she competes in triathlons. Her family, who treats fitness as a lifestyle, has inspired her to live an active, balanced life lead by health and well-being.

What’s your favorite season and why?

Spring – hands down! I have such a burst of energy on the first day of warm weather. Being from the midwest, I value sunlight and warmth in my days! Also, ice cream cone szn!

What’s your favorite meal?

Anything on the breakfast/brunch menu with a side of home fries… and hot sauce!

Why do you ride?

I ride because on the bike I am the strongest, most confident version of myself. With each ride there is an opportunity to push harder, sprint longer, climb heavier – for me, it is more than a workout. I want to share that feeling and experience with every rider in the room.
