Julie Moody
Julie Moody is no stranger to The Handle Bar family. She joined the fam in September 2013, when she moved to Southie, and has never looked back.
She hails from the South Shore of Massachusetts in Plymouth, which explains her love of the beach and all things summer. One of the most important things to Julie is spending time with family… especially her niece and nephews.
Participating in sports and being active have always been a huge part of her life – Julie played collegiate soccer at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. When Julie isn’t owning the podium by early morning and night, she works in operations at a consulting firm by day.
Don’t let her signature blonde ponytail and big smile fool you, Julie pumps beats by some of her favorites like RL Grime, Gryffin, lots of hip hop, and a good throwback thrown in her classes!
What is something that most people do not know about you?
I was a lettuce farmer in Kona, Hawaii (no, really). After graduating college I was craving an adventure and started looking for different opportunities. I found this family owned and operated farm in Kona and stayed for 2 months while exploring!
Who is your favorite artist on the bike, who is your favorite artist off the bike?
My favorite artist on the bike is Rihanna! My favorite artist off the bike is Coldplay and a lot of country music.
What is your all-time favorite meal?
Macaroni and cheese with a glass of red wine…with gummy peach rings for dessert!
